NEW BLOG!

Hello family and friends!

We recently started a new blog . . . veryvarga.blogspot.com. So if you want to view the latest and greatest, click on over to our site and check us out!

We hope to see you on our new blog soon!

Love,
Glen, Kelly, Sarah Jane, & Katie

One Week Old

Thanks to Glen for posting those initial baby pictures. Now that I'm a bit more settled, I decided to take advantage of a half-hour episode of "Signing Time" for Sarah Jane to post several more pictures of our sweet Katie Lynne starting with day 2 of her life and ending with day 7.

We love the faces infants make when their sleeping! Katie smiles in her sleep like the best of them!

Glen's a pro burper! . . . rather, he's great at getting Katie to burp

Here's a fun size comparison:

Glen's favorite GIRLS. Since we've been home, Sarah seems to have grown up a couple years. She's SO much older and bigger in our eyes than she was a week ago!

Yummy girl scout cookie!

7 Days old

Katie Lynne Varga

We are proud to introduce the newest member of the Varga family.

Katie Lynne Varga

Born March 13, 2008 at 2:04 PM
7 pounds 5 ounces
20 inches long

Sister, Sarah Jane, still isn't quite sure about the whole idea . . .

But she'll manage I suppose.

For Laura: baby's crib bedding set. This is just the temporary crib. The set will be cuter in Sarah's crib.

Prego Shots

My friend, Bree, did my pregnancy shoot yesterday. She dressed Sarah and I up and caught some great shots! And you gotta LOVE Sarah's pig tails! Jennifer "photoshopped" this first shot and I'll post more as she photoshops a few of the others.

Happy Weekend!

We had quite a weekend! On Saturday, Glen's sister, Laura, was sealed to her husband, Paul, at the Bountiful Temple. It was the first time ALL of the Varga siblings and spouses have been together in the temple. SO neat!!!

After the sealing and the YUMMY Texas barbecue luncheon (Paul is from Texas), we all drove down to Cedar City. Randy and April blessed their two-week old baby, Justin Randall, on Sunday. This is the baby I made the blanket for (who looked SO cute laying on it!). These are pictures of Glen and Sarah Jane resting after church. Sarah kept trying to give Glen her pacifier and then decided to pick his nose for him. Ewww!

Is winter over yet?!?

I think Sarah and I are done with winter. It's too cold to play outside and our apartment is getting pretty boring. But we're trying to make the most of the season . . .

Sarah Jane playing in the snow on the Patey's balcony in Spanish Fork.

She obviously didn't love falling down in the snow.

Silly daddy!

I couldn't wait to give her this Christmas present. I decided that I'm a HUGE fan of giving little kids their presents throughout the month . . . all of the presents on one Christmas morning is overwhelming, but if they open them at random times throughout the month, it gives them time to enjoy the present for several days before the next one is pulled out. It also gives mom sanity time during such a busy season.

ALL of these animals go to and come out of bed with Sarah. I think it's funny watching her try to carry them all around the house.

Another early morning picture. She wasn't feeling so well, so I got her all bundled on the couch with her favorite pillow and puppy and sippy cup. She was a happy girl!

Playing dress up out of mommy and daddy's closet.

Awwww.

Some more dress up pictures. She wanted to go outside to play in the snow.

Sarah's been sick for the last few weeks. Now it's an ear infection. Moan. Again, I'm DONE with winter and winter germs! So here she is enjoying some couch time with Baby Einsteins and Signing Time.

I MADE THIS!!!

This is the first quilt or even blanket I've EVER made! I feel like Tom Hanks on "Cast Away" when he triumphantly exclaimed, "I made fire!" Man made fire. Woman made quilt. I want to know, though, how those craft/sewing blog moms make so many things, maintain a blog site, and still have time to be moms. Sarah has watched so much TV this last week, it's ridiculous. "Just one more show, honey, so that mommy can finish this 'stitch in the ditch' row." We're driving down to Cedar City this weekend to visit with Glen's family and to see his little brother's new baby.

A day at Wheeler Historic Farm

Honk!

This turkey is just grateful to be alive.

This little piggy . . .

There's a bunny in there somewhere!

C'mon daddy! Let's get 'em!

Sarah liked the crunchy leaves.
